Sherry Bartells born and raised in Austin Texas! Met my cowboy in Colorado Springs, who happens to be from Minnesota! Well you know how that story ends up. Married for 18 years to Curtis and we have three children. Madison (17), Macauley (16), and Mackenzie (16), and two dogs, Chloe (a Brittany spaniel), and Snickers, (3 lb teacup yorkie). I have been a Jazzercise Instructor for 21 years! I started in Texas, taught in Colorado Springs, and then here since 1999. I have owned evolve Fitness for 10 years. What started out as a hobby has turned into my passion! I love bringing fun and positivity to all of my classes. It is a real family run business. My husband keeps the place looking beautiful, my daughter cleans and I spread love! I love learning so I am certified in yoga and Zumba. I am always looking for that next program to add for more variety! The spice of life!! I am very lucky to have a tribe of women I call my team and my friends! I think we set ourselves apart by the way we treat our customers. I know the names of almost all of our customers! There is never ever any judgment or body shaming! Exercise should be effective but always fun! Give us one hour we will make you evolve!
My name is Allison and I am thrilled to be part of the Evolve team! I have been teaching in various capacities for over 10 years. My love of human connections and fitness led me to teach BodyPump and POUND!
I am a wife, mama, sister, daughter, friend and the list goes on and on! I spend my days chasing around my almost 2 year old, who is just as smart as she is cute, and working my arms carrying around my handsome hunk of a 6 month old!
Spreading joy and confidence to those around me is one of my many passions. My journey to fitness was a long and hard road with lots of bumps along the way. I am here to show others that if I can do it…so can you!!!!

– I’ve met my very best friends through Evolve Fitness – so it’s not just for physical health but mental health too!

Work – math teacher at Hopkins West Junior High – spending my days solving algebraic equations, energized (usually) by the kids’ enthusiasm
When not at evolve Fitness or school, you might find me hanging out with Sanna, taking Millie for a walk on the Minnehaha Parkway trail, traveling and seeing new parts of this beautiful world, or enjoying the South Minneapolis sites with friends (many of whom are fellow St. Olaf alumni – Um Ya Ya!)

Health, wellness and mindfulness are important aspects in Randy Miranda’s life. He finds joy in guiding those who welcome the significance of the collective connection of mind, body and spirit. Randy believes in listening to your body and honoring where you are in the moment; to being open to feeling the gift that each practice and pose offers. He is keen about attention to detail and wants each student to learn, grow and experience success on their own terms. After all, it is not the destination, but the journey that teaches us so much about ourselves.
On the practical side, Randy became a fitness instructor more than 17 years ago, teaching Body Pump and Cycling at the YMCA. After many years playing racquetball, a knee injury caused him to re-evaluate his own fitness goals. Desiring more strength and flexibility, he completed extensive training in Mat Pilates and Pi/Yo, a fusion of Pilates and Yoga. He continued to expand his skills, receiving training in YogaFit, Tai Chi, Meditation, Reiki, Holistic Nutrition and Yin Yoga. He formerly worked for the Star Tribune for 20 years in various capacities and was the Director of Marketing and Communications for a local nonprofit for 6 years before focusing on fitness and wellness. He currently teaches at Green Lotus Yoga and Health Center in Eden Prairie, the Southdale YMCA, NuWay Counseling Center and has private clients.
Away from the studio, music, theater, reading, travel and gardening are some of the ways he relaxes. Randy does some snowshoeing, but his favorite winter activity is snuggling up in front of a fireplace and reading. He prefers warmer weather, when he enjoys being outdoors biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and camping. And he loves to get in a hot room for his own daily yoga practice. Randy is excited to be a part of the team at evolve Fitness. Say hello, ask any questions you might have and come give his Yoga and Pilates classes a try.
